What makes Chai tea different from green & black teas?
hi,
black and green teas are made of just tea leaf, whereas chai tea has been infused with spices and herbs. also the way the tea is brewed is slightly different. normal green and black teas are added to preheated water, whereas chai tea is put in cold water and bought to the boil with it.
the usual herbs and spices added to chai tea include: cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, peppercorn, and cloves. although it is not unheard of for them to include nutmeg, liquorice and even nuts (almonds are the most popular nut, followed by pistachio).
finally the milk content is higher in chai tea. in black tea i usually only put a small dash of milk, but in chai tea it is in some cases 50% milk

—–Learn about LIVE water. Drink up to 3 to 4 liters of ALKALINE/LIVE water. NO DRINKING ANYTHING ELSE except green juice or organic green tea with agave. SORRY…NO COFFEE or at least switch to chai tea with almond or rice milk then to green tea, then to juicing greens (natural energy drink).

How many calories are in a cup of tea?
How many calories are in chai, green, and herbal tea? (I drink tea plain – no milk, sugar, honey, lemon, etc.)
None.
There may possibly be 1 or 2 calories, but lifting the cup to your mouth will burn that off.
Chai tea is usually served with milk and sugar so it has quite a few calories, without it will have practically none, maybe 3 calories.
