~Need Help With Starbucks Drink~Please Help~?
Hey,
i really like starbucks and i do go there but not SO often, and i have tried basically all of their fraps and im just tired of the same ones.
yesterday i was cold, so i ordered a matcha latte (green tea latte basically) and i didnt like it. i loveee green tea but just the mix of it with milk i wasnt that satisfied… im not a fan of tea with milk to beggin with, sometimes just black tea is ok with milk but still i prefer without.
i wanted to try the green tea frap, but i only want it if it tastes like green tea, cuz if it tastes like vegetables like some say or if it tastes like the matcha latte, then i really wouldnt waste my money.
so please tell me if the chai frap is good?
is the green tea frap good and what does it taste like?
any other suggestions of fraps i can try (ive tried almost everything except for the caramel one cuz i hate caramel) :p
Thanks for your help, i really sppreicate it, i jsut really want something new and yummy
)
i personally loved the mocha frap the double chocolate chip and some other ones i cant remeber but i didnt like the vanilla or white chocolate frap thing i cant remeber the name but it had to do with vanilla. im more of a chocolat person.
thanks!!
pour some v 8 in it
what tea is good?
what tea brand is good. black tea, chai green tea???
Earl Gray is very good. It is a black tea.
Also, if you like spices…chai tea is very good as well. It’s a spicy black tea.
My absolute favorite kind of tea is berry blossom white tea. I am not a fan of green tea…
All the tea I get is by the brand "TAZO". It’s the brand Starbucks uses. You can buy it there. They sell their boxes of tea (24 in a box) for $6.95 (that’s the CANADIAN price anyway).
are my eating habits healthy enough?
breakfast=
3/4 cup cereal (fiberone, cheerios, kashi)
1/2 cup light silk soy milk
1 banana
2 cups chai green tea (with 1/4 cup soy milk)
snack=
luna bar
lunch=
either just a large soft pretzel when i have school
or if i’m home ill make a boca veggie burger on light wheat bread or tuna w/ hot sauce
with an apple
snack=
light activia yogurt
fruit mix (strawberries, grapes, blueberries, + sometimes pineapple)
dinner=
either hummus on pita w/ veggies
or a shrimp wrap ( shrimp, hot sauce, and spinach in a light wrap)
or a veggie wrap (random veggies in a light wrap)
with either almonds, more fruit, or carrots with light dip
sometimes ill have some cups of coffee in there with 2-4 tbsp creamer and 4 packs splenda.
am i missing any nutrient? this is what i eat everyday usually
Not healthy…
Cereal – all those cereals are highly processed (anything package has been processed), which is a leading cause of obesity
Soy milk – horrible for you
Luna bar – highly processed, most snack bars are, would be a good idea to avoid them
Large soft pretzel – I think you know that’s not healthy…
Splenda – artificial sweeteners are horrible for you
"Am I Missing any nutrient?"
Doesn’t seem like a high enough fat intake, which is NECESSARY for a healthy diet, and not enough protein, a ton of carbohydrates though.
I’d recommend a macronutrient ratio of 40% protein, 30% fats, and 30% carbohydrates. Don’t decrease your caloric intake, just find healthier options. In fact, you should probably increase your caloric intake…
How do you make the Green Tea Frappuccino?
I try to find different recipes to make it but i cant find the right one. could somebody plz give me the recipe that is exactly the same as Starbucks. I would also like to kno the chai recipe too. PLZ!!!!!!

Spearmint tea – but all I could find was spearmint/peppermint mixed?
OMG … it tastes like crap … and I usually love tea! Can I put soy milk in it – would that help it? Is it worth it to keep choking this down or can I just go back to my vanilla chai?
I heard about spearmint tea helping with PCOS so I decided to try it out. But all I could find was a spearmint/peppermint mix. Will this have any effect? What does peppermint do for you? It won’t cancel out the spearmint effects will it?
sorry YA flipped my question and details – you can figure it out
Firstly, no I don’t think peppermint will cancel spearmint’s action, on the contrary it might have a similar action in the body.
Regarding spearmint’s action, it was Turkish studies that showed that spearmint can help with testosterone excess or dominance in women, thus helping to alleviate hirsutism. Thus it may benefit those with PCOS because testerone excess or dominance is often a problem in women who have PCOS resulting in either hirsutism or acne.
Keep drinking the spearmint/peppermint tea. If you try an Asian store you might be able to get hold of pure spearmint tea. Addng milk would not make the tea taste better and might cancel out some of the effect. Just add a little sugar or sweetener and it is an acquired taste so you may even like it with time.
You could alternatively ask your GP for a pill called Dianette. This has a very powerful anti-testosterone effect. But if acne or hirsutism is not a major problem for you then the herb Agnus castus might help [working at the level of the pituitary to help normalise hormone levels]….and keep drinking the mint tea. And keep monitoring your blood sugar levels because there is often a relationship between PCOS and diabetes. And you could take gum guggul to support the health of your thyroid gland.
If you are on any prescribed medications already then talk to your GP before taking any herbal supplements, because there is a risk for herb-drug interactions.
Hope that helps.
Best wishes.
Which of these drinks has the most caffeine?
1. Gatorade(any flavor except yellow)
2. Lipton Black Tea
3 Lipton Green Tea
4. Tazo Black Tea
5. Coca-Cola
6.Pepsi
7. Starbucks Doubleshot
8. Starbucks Mocha Frappucino
9. Mountain Dew
I know this is a stupid question, but this is the easiest way to get rhe answer for when I go out for the night with my friends.
I don’t know the caffeine breakdown for alot of these items, but Gatorade has none and Mountain Dew (55mg) has more than regular Coke (34mg) or Pepsi (37.5mg).
Espresso has roughly 100mg of caffeine per 2 ounce shot and drip or brewed coffee (not sure of the difference) has 80-175mg.
I’ll do a couple more searches and see if I can find more info for you, but I don’t’ think you’ll be able to beat the coffee.
Edited to add: I’m finding green tea (per 8 oz) has between 15mg and 40mg. Black tea is 40-70mg.
