I just had the new Tazo Tea Infusion drink at Starbucks, and it is so good! I had the Berry Chai. Which Tazo Tea is used in the drink?
I looked it up and it says on the starbucks website:

Berry Chai Infusion
Combines Chai Tea concentrate with a proprietary blend of aronia berry (tart berry similar to cranberry) and black currant (dark colored berry with a sharp, sweet taste) juice.

Can you get those ingredients in the store?

I work at Starbucks, so I know of which I speak. You can buy the "Tazo" Organic Chai Tea Bags at almost any grocery store. It’s in the Tea aisle. However, the berry juice we use is made specially for Starbucks. You can try to find some of the Aronia berry or Black current juices at the grocery store and mix to taste. Hope this helps! ^_^

I’ve recently started drinking Tazo Organic Chai. I’ve been drinking green tea and know it has great benefits. I was wondering what are the benefits of black tea and giner root?

Black tea has some antioxidants which help your body repair cellular damage by acting as co-factors in repair enzymes. It’s not the only source, but if you drink some every day it can only help.

Other good sources are Gree Tea, Coffee, Chocolate, Acai berry, Pomagranete, and most other fruit to a smaller Degree.

Ginger is classically know for helping tummy troubles. It is recomended for people who get sea sick, car sick or having Morning sickness.

I think in traditionally Chinese medicine it is considered a "warming" item, so it is prescribed for any "cold" conditions. Like a flemmy cough.

does starbucks sell regualr chai tea? not a chai tea latte but just a chai tea?
it says on their menu tazo herbal infusion, what is that?
i mean chai tea, not the latte, which is with milk.

i’m not sure but you can always go and check it out…
there are starbucks everywhere i turn my head, so there…
try their "tazo herbal infusion" and it might just be the one you are looking for…

I used to work there and I looove tea! I do believe that everyone has their own opinion and how it tastes to me probably won’t taste the same to you, but I’ll give you my opinion…

Zen – A light minty taste with some greens.

Awake- mmm yummy. Awake tea is your basic black tea. Reminds me of nature. Kind of nutty I guess.

Green tea latte- Very sweet. Not minty at all. Made with macha power so it is just green tea and sugar.

Black- Black tea is the same as awake tea. It tastes different iced though. Just like regular tea.

Black (lemonade)- Same, just regular tea with lemonade. No difference. you can sweeten it if you think it is too bitter.

Chai – Spiced black tea! A bit sweet and spicy with some nutmeg. yummy too. Try the chai lattes.

Early Grey- My all time favorite. This stuff seriously smells and tastes like fruit loops to me. Kind of per-fumy. Great with vanilla or soy!

Green shaken iced tea- Same thing as Zen. a bit of minty crisp. very refreshing. Although green tea always sees to give me headaches.

Passion- Very fruity, tangy, and bitter. If you don’t like that bitterness just add some sweetener. great with lemonade. Like fruit punch.

Vanilla- Nutty vanilla. I don’t like this tea by itself. It needs cream or sweetener. but it definitely tastes like vanilla.

i recently bought the sampler pack of tazo teas which included two different types of chai teabags. i’ve only had chai tea lattes, which have milk, and chai tea with milk in it.

my question is, does chai tea HAVE to have milk or can i drink/make it sans milk like black coffee? and if it has to have milk do i boil the milk with the water or pour it in after like cream into coffee?

I drink chai tea without milk and it tastes perfect, so I guess you can too…. I don’t think that there’s any tea in fact that must be served with milk. And when they are, fresh milk is added after making the tea, like cream into coffee

ps If you mean the chai tea as that specific spiced milky one, such as masala chai then you make it by having 1/4 to 1/2 parts milk mixed with water and then heated close to or to boiling temperature.

I bought some concentrated chai tea concentrate (starbucks tazo brand) and I heard you could add something to make it taste like thai iced tea. Any suggestions!!! I luv me some thai iced tea! Hopefully I can make this work.

THAI ICED CHAI TEA

Ingredients:

1-2 tablespoons tazo chai tea concentrate (to taste)
1-2 tablespoon sweet condensed milk
1-2 tablespoon sugar or any sweetener, to taste
1-2 teaspoon half & half (or cream or milk)
1 cup hot water
Ice cubes

Add the sugar and the sweet condensed milk to a glass or cup. Add one tablespoon (or more) of Tazo chai tea to the glass. Pour hot water carefully into the glass. Stir until the sugar and sweet condensed milk are dissolved. Add ice and top the tea with half & half (or milk).

If you like it hot, reduce the sugar and sweet condensed milk by half.
